The Starlight Insurance Calendar Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) is intended for legal residents of Canada only and shall only be construed and evaluated according to Canadian laws and applicable provincial laws. Do not enter this Sweepstakes if you have permanent residence outside of Canada or are otherwise ineligible in accordance with these Official Rules at the time of entry.

 

The Sweepstakes begins on October 1, 2025, at 9:00 AM ET (the “Sweepstakes Start Date”) and ends on November 29, 2025, at 11:59 PM ET (the “Sweepstakes End Date”) (such period referred to herein as the “Sweepstakes Entry Period”). All times are measured by Eastern Time (ET) in Canada.

 

ADMINISTRATOR: The Sweepstakes is administered by Starlight Children’s Foundation Canada, 501 Alden Road, Unit 4, Markham, Ontario, L3R 3L4 (the “Administrator”).

 

ELIGIBILITY: The Sweepstakes is open and offered only to legal residents of Canada, who are at least eighteen (18) years of age at the time of entry (the “Entrants”). The Administrator, their respective parent companies, employees, officers, directors, subsidiaries, affiliates, distributors, sales representatives and advertising and promotional agencies, and the officers, directors, agents, and employees of each of the foregoing (collectively, the “Released Parties”), and members of their immediate families (defined as including spouse, biological, adoptive and step-parents, grandparents, siblings, children and grandchildren, and each of their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) or households (whether related or not) of any of the above are NOT eligible to participate in this Sweepstakes. Non-eligibility or non-compliance with any of these Official Rules will result in disqualification. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. (For the avoidance of doubt, any references in these Rules to Entrants shall also include the Entrant who is deemed the Winner [as defined below]). 

 

AGREEMENT TO OFFICIAL RULES: By participating in the Sweepstakes, Entrants agree to abide by and be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Administrator, which are final and binding in all matters relating to the Sweepstakes. Winning the Prize (as defined below) is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein. 

 

DRAW ENTRY: Tickets can be purchased at starlightinsurancecampaign.org/calendar-sweepstakes (the “Website”) from Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at 9:00 AM (ET) until Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 11:59 PM (ET).

 

Tickets are $30 each. Tickets will be issued in sequential order and will begin at 0001 through to 3000. Your unique ticket number can be found in the bottom left of the attachment sent to you by email. The holder of the ticket number drawn will win the daily prize as described on the calendar.

 

In order to be eligible for the chance to win each and all prizes, tickets must be purchased before 11:59 PM (ET) on October 31, 2025. Tickets purchased through the month of November will only be entered into the draw starting the following business day from time of purchase.

 

Participants will receive an email confirmation at the email address provided on the Sweepstakes Website. Ticket(s) purchased are not tax deductible. All purchases are final and non-refundable.

 

Official tickets, along with the Rules of Play, will then be delivered to the customer via email within 2-5 business days from time of entry. At this time, you will receive one email with all official tickets enclosed.

 

Participation in the Sweepstakes is voluntary and does not require payment. To enter the Sweepstakes without making a purchase you must submit a legible, hand-written entry by mailing the Administrator during the Sweepstakes Entry Period with the following information: 

 

1)     Subject line: Starlight Insurance Calendar Sweepstakes

2)     Write your full contact information:

          a.      First and last name

          b.      Date of Birth – Entrants must meet age eligibility criteria as of the date of entry provided in these Official Rules

          c.      Full Street including city/town, province, postal code (P.O. Boxes are not permitted)

          d.      Telephone number (including area code)

          e.      Email address

3)     Include the following statement: “I acknowledge that I have read, understand, and agreed to the Sweepstakes Official Rules.”

 

The entry must be on an 8.5”x11” paper and mailing it in a sealed envelope with proper postage affixed to the following address:

LIMIT OF ONE (1) ENTRY PER STAMPED OUTER ENVELOPE. There is no limit to the number of free entries submitted by an individual, but each submission must be its in own sealed envelope with proper postage (i.e. There is no limit on the number of stamped outer envelopes that may be submitted but you may not put multiple entries in one stamped outer envelope.). There is no limit to the number of entries any one participant may have.

 

Each successfully submitted mail-in entry, as directed herein, will receive one (1) entry in the Sweepstakes. Participants must provide all required information to be eligible to enter and win. Mail-in entries must be received via Canada Post by Friday, October 31, 2025, to be eligible to be entered into all 30 daily draws. Any submissions received after that date, up until Thursday, November 27, 2025, will only be entered into the draw for the following business day.

 

Hand delivered or in-person submissions will not be accepted. Mail-in entries become the property of Administrator and will not be returned. Mail-in entries will receive an email confirmation with enclosed ticket(s).

 

Illegible submissions will not be accepted. Free entries that do not clearly provide all of the above listed information will be deemed ineligible (as determined in Administrator’s sole discretion). 

 

There is no limit to the number of free entries submitted by an individual.

 

The Administrator is not responsible for late, lost, or damaged entries, or technical issues that otherwise might prevent Administrator’s receipt of any free entry submissions. The Administrator is not responsible for technical issues that otherwise might prevent recipient’s receipt of any free entry email confirmations. Use (or attempted use) of multiple names, identities, email addresses and/or any automated system to enter or otherwise participate in the Sweepstakes is prohibited and is grounds for disqualification in the sole discretion of the Administrator. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of any entrant, the entry will be deemed submitted by the account holder of the credit card on which the donation was charged (if entry via donation method) or by the account holder of the e-mail address used to enter. “Authorized account holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet Access Provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational institute) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Winner(s) may be required to show proof of being the credit card holder or authorized account holder. If a dispute cannot be resolved to the Sponsor’s satisfaction, the Potential Winner(s) will be disqualified.

 

DAILY DRAWS:

There will be a draw every day from November 1, 2025, to November 30, 2025, with one winner each day. All prize values and descriptions can be found in detail at www.starlightinsurancecampaign.org/calendar-sweepstakes-prize-descriptions.

 

Winning ticket numbers are NOT eligible for all subsequent prize draws, with the exception of the Two Economy Class return tickets for travel to any Air Canada scheduled destination in North America including Hawaii, Mexico and the Caribbean. All ticket purchasers, regardless of prior prizes, will be eligible to win this grand prize on November 30, 2025.

CHANCES OF WINNING: Chances of winning are 1 in 3,000 or greater. Final odds are dependent upon the number of tickets purchased/claimed (up to a maximum of 3,000).

 

There is one (1) Grand Prize to be awarded on November 30, 2025, with a commercial value $3,800 CAD, and 29 other prizes, each valued at a minimum of $250 CAD.

 

SELECTION OF WINNER: There will be 30 daily draws. Potential Winners will be selected by random drawing using a random system from all eligible entries received by the Administrator during the Sweepstakes Entry Period. 

 

A winning ticket number will be drawn at random every day in November, and the Grand Prize-winning ticket number will be drawn on Sunday, November 30, at 12:00 PM (ET). Once the Potential Winner’s ticket number has been pulled, it will also be listed on the “Website”, but will still be subject to the verification process (as described below).

 

The Potential Winner will be notified by email and/or by telephone shortly after the Drawing Date, using the email address or telephone number provided with the selected entry, and will be conditionally awarded the Sweepstakes Grand Prize subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with the terms and conditions of these Official Rules. No liability is assumed for any winner notification that is lost, intercepted or not received by a Potential Winner for any reason.

 

In the event that a Potential Winner is disqualified for any reason, the Administrator, at its sole discretion, may select an alternate Potential Winner by a random drawing from the remaining eligible entries.

 

VERIFICATION OF POTENTIAL WINNER: Each Potential Winner is subject to verification by the Administrator. Administrator’s decisions are final and binding in all matter relating to the administration, operation, selection of the Potential Winner, and all other matters related to the Sweepstakes. An entrant is not a winner of the Grand Prize unless and until the entrant’s eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules has been verified by the Administrator, in its sole discretion, and the entrant has been notified that verification is complete.

 

In order to receive the Grand Prize, the Potential Winner will be required to correctly answer, without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical, electronic or otherwise, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question to be administered by phone or email by the Administrator at a mutually agreeable time. In the event that:

 

(a)    Potential Winner cannot be reached within thirty (30) days of initial notification from Administrator, or the Potential Winner notification is returned as unclaimed or undeliverable, or if the Potential Winner fails to provide the necessary information to confirm the Potential Winner’s identity, residency and eligibility to receive the Sweepstakes Prize within the allotted time provided;

(b)   Potential Winner declines or cannot accept, receive or use the Sweepstakes Prize for any reason;

(c)    Potential Winner is found to be ineligible to enter the Sweepstakes or receive the Sweepstakes Prize; 

(d)   Potential Winner fails to correctly answer the skill-testing question; or

(e)    Potential Winner did not, cannot or does not comply with these Official Rules; or 

 

then the Potential Winner shall be disqualified from the Sweepstakes and an alternate Potential Winner may be randomly selected, at Administrator’s sole discretion, from among the remaining eligible entries received. Administrator reserves the right to modify the notification procedures in connection with the selection of an alternate Potential Winner, if any. A Potential Winner will be declared the Sweepstakes Winner when all of the conditions of these Official Rules are fulfilled to the satisfaction of Administrator, in its sole discretion.

 

PRIZE DELIVERY: Delivery of all prizes, including the Grand Prize, will be arranged and mutually agreed upon between the winner and Administrator (digital delivery, in-person pick-up at a Starlight Children’s Foundation Canada regional office or delivery via Purolator).

 

PUBLICITY RELEASE: Except where prohibited or restricted by law, Sweepstakes Winner's acceptance of, and guest’s participation in the Sweepstakes Prize constitutes the Sweepstakes Winner’s and guest’s agreement, permission and consent for Administrator/Sponsor and any of their designees to use and/or publish the Sweepstakes Winner's and/or guest’s name, city and province or territory of residence, photographs or other likenesses, pictures, portraits, video, voice, testimonials, and/or statements made by the Sweepstakes Winner and/or guest regarding the Sweepstakes or otherwise, worldwide and in perpetuity for any and all purposes, including, but not limited to, advertising, publicity, trade and/or promotion on behalf of Administrator, in any and all forms of media, now known or hereafter devised, including, but not limited to, print, TV, radio, electronic, cable, or World Wide Web, without further limitation, restriction, compensation, notice, review, or approval.

 

PRIVACY: Personal information collected will be used to administer and evaluate the draw, including fulfilling ticket orders and contacting and publicizing the name of our winner. In order to participate in the Sweepstakes, entrants will be required to supply certain information. Administrator has specified on the Sweepstakes Website which information is mandatory in order to participate in the Sweepstakes. This information will be used by Administrator for the purposes of administering the Sweepstakes, and may be shared with their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion and fulfillment agencies, legal advisors, and service providers.

 

We may also use your personal information to connect with you to keep you informed about the impact of your support, share other activities of Starlight Children’s Foundation Canada, and ask for your support of our mission. The Foundation does not trade, rent, or sell any personal information to third parties. GENERAL CONDITIONS: If for any reason the operation or administration of this Sweepstakes is impaired or incapable of running as planned for any reason, including but not limited to (i) infection by computer virus, bugs, (ii) tampering, unauthorized intervention, (iii) fraud, (iv) technical failures, or (v) any other causes beyond the control of the Administrator which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, the Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes in whole or in part, at any time, without notice and award the Grand Prize (defined above) using all non-suspect eligible entries received as of, or after (if applicable) this cancellation, termination, modification or suspension date, or in any manner that is fair and equitable and best conforms to the spirit of these Official Rules. The Administrator reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual deemed to be tampering or attempting to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes or Administrator’s Website; or acting in violation of these Official Rules or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. 

 

CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE; THE ADMINISTRATOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES OR OTHER REMEDIES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON (S) RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ATTEMPT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. 

 

Failure by the Administrator to enforce any provision of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of a Winner based on an email address, the winning entry will be declared by the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the registration in question. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational, institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address.

 

RELEASE AND LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY: By participating in the Sweepstakes, Entrants agree to release and hold harmless the Released Parties from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt or use of any Prize, including, but not limited to: (i) any technical errors that may prevent an Entrant from submitting an entry; (ii) unauthorized human intervention in the Sweepstakes; (iii) printing errors; (iv) errors in the administration of the Sweepstakes or the processing of entries; or (v) injury, death, or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from Entrant’s participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt of the Grand Prize (defined above). Released Parties assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries. Released Parties are not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or telephone lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email or entry to be received by Administrator on account of technical problems, human error or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to Entrant's or any other person's computer relating to or resulting from participation in this Sweepstakes or downloading any materials in this Sweepstakes. Entrants further agree that in any cause of action, the Released Parties’ liability will be limited to the cost of entering and participating in the Sweepstakes, and in no event shall the Released Parties be liable for attorney fees. Entrants waive the right to claim any damages whatsoever, including, but not limited to, punitive, consequential, direct, or indirect damages.

 

Except as expressly provided above, IN NO EVENT WILL RELEASED PARTIES BE RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES OR LOSSES OF ANY KIND (INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES) ARISING OUT OF PARTICIPATION IN THIS SWEEPSTAKES OR THE ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, USE, OR MISUSE OF, OR ANY HARM RESULTING FROM THE ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, USE OR MISUSE OF A PRIZE. 

 

By participating, Entrants release and agree to hold harmless the Released Parties from any and all liability for any injuries, death or losses or damages to persons or property AS WELL AS CLAIMS/ACTIONS BASED ON PUBLICITY RIGHTS, DEFAMATION, AND/OR INVASION OF PRIVACY that may arise from participating in this Sweepstakes or its related activities or the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of, or any harm resulting from the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of a Prize. Released Parties are not liable in the event that any portion of the Sweepstakes is cancelled due to weather, fire, strike, acts of war or terrorism, pandemic, or any other condition beyond their control.
